Federal Judge Blocks White House Press Ban — CNN, MS NOW, and Politico Reinstated

Kelly — a Trump appointee — ruled the ban was likely unconstitutional, finding the credentials were revoked without "constitutionally adequate due process" and that the administration failed to clearly articulate what standards the outlets had violated.
Some staffers from the three outlets were initially denied entry Thursday morning despite the order; the White House ultimately reactivated their hard badges midday, and reporters from all three outlets were inside the complex by early afternoon.
Kelly has scheduled briefing deadlines through October 5 for a potential preliminary injunction hearing.
A new report from Status separately identified Vice President JD Vance as the unnamed "senior administration official" behind one of the stories used to justify the Politico ban.
